Happy 35th birthday Kristian Schmid, so in turn happy birthday Adam!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Ugh, I loathe stitching by hand. Next time I make anything, I'm making sure it's big enough that my clumsy, stupid fingers can use the sewing machine to do it.
Also, I need to get a job so I can get money so I can get a little bit of paid time on LJ so I can have an icon that appropriately describes my face at this situation.

Erik updated for his birthday here in this backdated entry. Of course he doesn't have his own LJ icon, so I had to do what I do in the Inkwell and put his pic in the post itself.
I need to sleep~. Short week at the full-time job (we get off Thursday and Friday), but I'll be working at the theater Wednesday and Thursday. Not sure about Friday yet (won't know 'til Wednesday).
Nini.

Happy 46th anniversary Doctor Who!!!
I'm also very bad and neglected to mention Gerard Butler/Erik's birthday on Nov. 13th and Paul McGann/8's birthday on Nov. 14th. Happy belated, guys! I'm gonna make AL do a backdated entry for Erik's birthday, though.

Ugh, I have been sick as a dog for the last few days. Aside from me spending this past weekend in Starkvegas at an improv workshop (which was a lot of fun, but I get the feeling that exerting myself did not help my health one bit), I've spent most of my time in the last week lying around, trying to fight off whatever it is that is making me feel like garbage. I really despise being sick.
In good news, I got an exciting package in the mail today. :D
( Floatzel family pictures! )
Since I had the camera out and was on enough medication to think clearly for the moment, I decided to take a few photos of the progress on the custom Raichu I'm making for
heerosferret. Progress has unfortunately been halted for the last few days, since I don't like to work on projects when sick, but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things soon.

Last night, I experienced the most amazing, most awe-inspiring, most beautiful journey I have ever had. Last night, I walked with REAL, LIFE-SIZED DINOSAURS and spent it all with my most wonderful girlfriend who made it possible. I cannot begin to describe to you the fullfillment of one of my longest-held dreams. If you ever get a chance, go see Walking with Dinosaurs. It is the best experience, hands-down that I have EVER had in my entire life. It is something I will never ever forget.
I'm going to try and post some videos I took later tonight, but for now, have a picture (from the website - my pictures are all dark since they were taken with my camera):
You will be astounded and humbled by these beautiful giants that have come to life. I felt like I was living in James Gurney's Dinotopia. My favorite part? The moment the Brachiosaurus walked out. My mouth dropped open, my heart felt like it was too big for my chest, and tears welled in my eyes. A 40 foot dinosaur stood above my head and blinked at me. Tonight, I had a dream come true.

He still won't eat. They gave him a feeding tube and he's coming home tomorrow. I'm hoping that being in familiar surroundings will encourage him to eat.
Ed has this theory that whatever is making BT not want to eat is due to whatever he was watching before going to sleep and having some kind of nightmare or something. He doesn't want to put his tongue in his mouth (he kept holding it when we were there last weekend).
See, this is why my kid's gonna watch things like Fraggle Rock, etc. Things like that never gave kids nightmares. :/
Oh, and re: "The Waters of Mars"? Holy. Shit.
That is all. I should've been in bed like two hours ago but I was playing Ghostbusters. I might've missed out on a trophy cuz i triggered a cut scene before I could activate it. Damn. Gonna have to see tomorrow.
Nini.

From
stellie! I'd emailed her a long~ time ago to let her know of the news of me coming back and whatnot. Here's what she has to say:
Oh, I'm doing just fine. New chickens, a few new foals (the latest born will probably need to be put down, her back isn't exactly right and she can't lift her tail) and a plan to go gardening for profit all next season. Flax might be a good thing to have on hand, we might plant a bit of that to see how it goes. I do enjoy a bit of spinning, after all.
Hrm. Hopefully you've enjoyed the story [The "Stella Meets AL" story I love so much]. I'm sorry I'm not online very much - I do try to make it about once every one or two months, but still.
My pumpkin at hallowe'en? I carved 'Jellybaby?' in cursive X3 Took two hours and I had it out right before the kiddies came running up and down the road for treats.
Tell Sno' and Ban'rai that even Stellie gets along with the world even after she's taken a few punches.
And an interesting job you have! Da's been shuttling scrap for a few years, now, and has started a plunge into recycling cardboard, papers and all types of plastic as well. [I'd told her about Sims, I guess...now I'll have to update her]
If you want to put up anything just tell everyone that they should beware a shadow behind them from time to time. I'm good at that.
-Stellie
Now I'm not sure if I sent her the email before or after the falling out...and I'm not sure if she wants people to know the email address she's using. I'll ask her, but it may be a while before I get an answer. It's been months since I last sent her a message.
She sounds like her old self again, though, don't she?
In other news, I need a shower and sleep.

The new Doctor Who special airs TONIGHT! 7pm UK time which is 2pm EST so I'm hoping that it's out by the time I get home at 4ish (that'd be 9pm over there...plenty of time! besides, it used to be out by 5 over here...).
Ack, gotta finish getting ready for work and quickly. My ride today is a coworker and I don't want to keep him waiting.
